From brassy to a cooler blonde

Blue is the opposite of orange on the colour wheel: its pigments neutralise the orange tones in your lengths, without touching your starting colour.

Where orange tones come from

Some brown or dark blonde hair hides an orange pigment under the brown. You can spot it in the sun: your base already leans orange. The Blue shampoo exists for that hair.

1

Your base already leans orange

In the sun, your brown hair picks up orange tones. That pigment was there before any treatment: the blue neutralises it at every wash.

2

Highlights or a colour that turned orange

After lightening at the salon, or when a colour fades, the orange pigment comes back on the lightest strands. That’s where it shows the most.

3

Sun, chlorine and water

UV rays break down cool tones before warm ones. Chlorine and the metals in water, copper and iron, settle on lightened hair and warm it up even more.

A word from Zoé

Orange tones are the fear we all share when we want to go lighter. Honestly, they only show on hair that already has some: brown hair that leans orange in the sun, highlights that turned orange. For that hair, the Blue shampoo is, for me, the only way to get back to a blonde without orange. It doesn’t lighten, it neutralises the tone: alongside the spray, it keeps your blonde cool and bright.

Zoé

1 to 3 minutes, once or twice a week. That’s it.

1

On wet hair

Apply the shampoo and work it into a lather, focusing on the lightened lengths.

2

Leave on for 1 to 3 minutes

Let it work while the blue pigments settle, then rinse thoroughly.

3

Once or twice a week

That’s the maintenance routine. In between, keep using your usual shampoo.

Got questions?

They don't correct the same tone. Blue neutralises orange tones, the ones on bases that already have them: a light brown that turns orange in the sun, a balayage that has shifted. Purple neutralises yellow, the kind on blondes that are already light and on polar blondes. If your tone pulls orange, go for blue. If it pulls yellow, go for purple.

No, and that's normal. Blue corrects the orange tones created by lightening. On a natural, un-lightened brown base, there's no orange to correct, so you won't see anything. On the other hand, if your highlights or balayage on a brown base are turning orange, that's exactly what it's made for.

1 to 3 minutes depending on the intensity you want, then rinse thoroughly. Don't go beyond 3 minutes: after that, the result can turn the hair fibre grey instead of correcting it.

1 to 2 times a week, no more, instead of your usual shampoo. Focus on the lengths that are turning brassy, then carry on with your normal routine.

Not in the same wash. These are two correctives for two opposite tones, and using them both at once can dull your blonde. Pick the one that matches the tone you're dealing with right now. If you have both shades in different areas, alternate from one week to the next.

It's formulated with 86% ingredients of natural origin, including ginseng, wheat proteins and betaine that help keep hair soft. Like any pigmented shampoo, you don't use it every day: 1 to 2 times a week is plenty.

About 3 months with 1 to 2 uses per week. 250 ml bottle.

Yes. The spray lightens, the blue shampoo corrects the tone that shows up along the way. They're made to work together: you lighten with one, you keep a cool blonde with the other, 1 to 2 times a week.

No. Its blue pigments neutralise orange tones on already lightened hair, without changing your starting colour. The result depends on your base: the lighter your lengths, the more visible the correction.
